The Howard Bison secured a 100-94 win over Delaware State on January 4, 2025, at Burr Gymnasium. Howard came out strong, shooting 59.6% from the field and an incredible 100% (27-for-27) from the free-throw line. Blake Harper led the way with 34 points and six rebounds, while Cameron Shockley-Okeke added 24 points, including six three-pointers.
Delaware State mounted a strong challenge, with Martaz Robinson leading all scorers with 28 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Robert Smith contributed 27 points, and Kaseem Watson added 22. The Hornets narrowed the gap to 57-56 early in the second half, but Howard’s efficient offense kept them at bay. Marcus Dockery chipped in with 19 points, and the Bison’s perfect free-throw shooting proved crucial in maintaining their lead.
